Franken-Chapters 11-12

1. How does the creature describe his first days of life?
He describes them as sort of scary, he does not know what anything is, he is not used to sight at the time of his creation.
2. Why does the creature decide to travel, and why is this a difficult decision for him?
I think that deep down, he feels sad that Victor left him, and he wants to sortof find him.
3. How does the creature respond to fire?
He loves the warmth, but upon sticking his hand in the fire, he discovers that fire gives you pain.
4. What happens when the creature enters a village? Where does he end up staying?
He is chased out of the city by the villagers, and ends up staying in the shed of a little cottage outside of the town.
5. How does the creature feel about the cottagers? At first, how does he react to theexpression of emotions he observes them displaying?
He loves watching their love towards one another, and by observing them he learns language.
6. Although the creature wants to join these people, why does he decide not to?
He fears that he is too hideous to show his face near them, he doesn't want them to be scared.
7. How does the creature show understanding and kindness to this family?
He starts to do work FOR them, by the cover of darkness he hauls wood to their house.
8. What does the creature spend the winter doing, and what does this reveal abouthim?
He also helps during the winter, by hauling wood. He loves to help others out, he is very compassionate.
9. What does the creature say he discovers about himself? What feelings does thisdiscovery cause?
He discovers that he is intrigued by the human's emotions, and he feels sad that he can not join in.
10. What does the creature plan to do regarding the family? How is he feeling at thispoint?
He wants to show his face and join them in their happiness and help them out, he is feeling confident.
